Oxford!

A bunch of friends and I took a trip to Oxford.

IT WAS FANTASTIC. Wow, so much better than St. Mary's! Still not as good as Saint Vincent, though. In all honesty.

One of the scenes from HP1 was filmed here!!

... Namely, this one!
Yeah, this is the best picture I could find. The scene where Draco tries to befriend Harry and gets BURNEDDD.

This is apparently where the Hedwig scene was filmed for HP1!

This one!

Inside that building (we weren't allowed in :/) was where the library and hospital wings scenes were filmed for the first two HP movies!

AW YEAH

On top of the famous hill. What a view!

The dining hall that inspired the set of the Hogwarts great hall!

Covered market... and hanging mistletoe!

... Yeah. But for real, "Radcliffe" was everywhere! There must have been at least 4 instances of it... unhealthy obsession! lol

And that was basically an epic day. Harry Potter FTWWWW

Derp Day

I took a day to go into London and soak up what I could. I foresee a lot more like this one... namely tomorrow!!

On the prime meridian! AWWWW YEAHHH

Torture device? Nope, telescope.
The view from the astronomy tower was incredible!

I went to the place where the original knickerbocker glory was served! I was going to get it... until I learned what it was. I'll pass on the vinegar, thank you! So I got this chocolatey beauty!!

... Heck yes.

Fortnum and Mason, a really fancy department store in Piccadilly Circus. In my opinion, way better than Harrod's!

The window displays reminded me of good old New York!

Such a blast!

Canterbury and Hever Castle

I took a tour of Canterbury and Hever Castle, where Anne Boleyn grew up!

... Yay! That was about it. Also, this is where I discovered that my camera is indeed on its death bed.

Pictures!

Canterbury cathedral!

Aw yeah!

It's still remembrancetide here in England.

Hever gates

PURDY

It was all so gorgeous!

Thanksgiving in England!

Thanksgiving doesn't exist here.

But my school tried to make us feel more at home by having a Thanksgiving celebration for us!

Honestly, I had a blast. I met some new people, and had fun with friends.

But... it was definitely WAY too fancy!! Thanksgiving is for stuffing your face!

I showed up in a hoodie... I knew I was in trouble once I heard the piano music!

... Seriously. I had seconds! And they wouldn't let us have thirds because they "ran out." Yeah, okay.
Also, that stuffing? I had to CUT IT. It was more like a cake... possibly the main memory I'll take away is Christina and I cutting the stuffing and just saying "... Hilarious..."

The gang at the SU bar after dinner!

It was so fun! Definitely not even close to authentic... but what a fun night!

Everything Aaaaand Go!

My lovely mom asked me to post on here! How can I say no to that??

A lot has happened! Currently, I'm done with all of my classes (I accidentally slept through my last one... my life!) and am totally finished with 2 of my 5 classes. I'm one essay, 2 exams, and 11 days from home!

(I don't understand the shield... but I've been singing this all week!)

Currently, trying to squeeze in everything that I can, because I won't be coming back here for a while!

I'm REALLY going to miss it here, despite how much I miss home. London is such an exciting city, but it also makes you feel like you've lived there your whole life! It will be so bittersweet leaving Europe.

And now, everything that's happened in the past 2-ish weeks! :)

Bye, Abby!

This weekend, my friend Abby visited! I took her around London and such, and saw a few things I hadn't seen before!!

It was so nice seeing someone from home!

I don't know why some of these are so huge!! ... BUT I LIKE IT!

After Abby left, I went to the British museum... I've been dying to go for ages!

Real life wizard's chess, anyone?

This one really gave me the creeps...

Olympic medals for 2012!

A cast of Oliver Cromwell's face... again, really creeped me out.

Little Ben!

It'll be nice to see Abby again... AT SAINT VINCENT!!

The one-month countdown has commenced! Only 27 days, 15 hours, 6 minutes, and 1 second until my plane takes off. I'm so torn between homesickness and being in love with this city! :)
