So. First and possibly most importantly, I've discovered this:
http://thestudyabroadblog.com/
It is essentially wonderful. Not only does it have a packing list that I'm currently chugging through, it has... everything else a study abroad kid could POSSIBLY want!! I can't recommend it highly enough!
Second, I started packing. I looked up the weather history in London (using this site!) and basically... it is NEVER shorts weather. It's the North American equivalent of Quebec... FREEZIN'! I made an informal Excel spreadsheet for the number of days in each weather condition and planned my outfits accordingly. I also looked up the history of Rome and Paris, so I can pack for those travels!!
The second column is the number of days in the appropriate temperature range. I know it's crazy disorganized, but it works for me! :D
Sooo here are all the clothes I'm bringing!
Doesn't look like much, huh? I can't believe it, but other than some socks, jackets, and shoes, these are all of the clothes I am bringing!
Note: That's my carry-on bag! I have yet to buy a LEGIT huge suitcase. Probably necessary!
Also, I applied for a credit card and got rejected because I have no credit history at all! So we're working on getting me a credit card for emergencies.
Example of emergency: going to visit my friend in Rome, and not being allowed to stay in her room, and needing a hotel! Something my abroad friends and I definitely must think about!
I think the last thing I have to write about is that I also got an International Student Identity Card (ISIC). I barely knew about them before, but just having one can get you discounts, a phone plan, and (a biggie for me!) health insurance! It looks like this!
Hot, right? Haha!
I'm sure there's more, but I'll write later!
Au Revior!
